Haley Judith Kopmeyer, born on June 28, 1990, is an American soccer goalkeeper. She played for several teams during her career. Her last team was the Orlando Pride in the NWSL. Before that, she played for Seattle Reign in the NWSL. She also played for Brisbane Roar and Canberra United in Australia's W-League. She also played for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.

Haley Kopmeyer's Early Life and High School Soccer
Haley Kopmeyer was born to Joseph and Patricia Kopmeyer. She went to Seaholm High School from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, she attended Lahser High School.
During her high school years, Haley was a very talented soccer player. In 2007, she was named to several top teams. These included the all-state first team and the all-district first team. She was also a Parade All-American. In 2006, she made the all-state second team.
Playing for the University of Michigan Wolverines
Kopmeyer went to the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2012. She studied political science and Spanish there. In her first year, she received an academic award. She had an injury that year, so she took a "medical redshirt" year. This meant she could play an extra year later.
In her second year, Kopmeyer was a top goalkeeper. She led the Big Ten conference in saves. She also had a high save percentage. She played in 16 games and started 15 of them. She set a new school record for rookie goalkeepers with six shutouts. A shutout is when a goalkeeper prevents the other team from scoring any goals. She also earned another academic award.
In 2011, Kopmeyer set a new record for the most saves in a single season for a Michigan women's soccer player.
By 2012, as a fifth-year senior, she started all 24 matches. She made 95 saves that season. She had 11 individual shutouts. Kopmeyer was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. She was also named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year. Michigan's team reached the "Sweet Sixteen" in the playoffs. Kopmeyer was recognized as one of the best players in the country.
Haley Kopmeyer's Professional Soccer Career
Joining Seattle Reign FC
On January 18, 2013, Haley Kopmeyer was chosen in the NWSL Draft. She was the 31st player picked overall by Seattle Reign FC. She played one game for the team in 2013. She was later re-signed by the team for the 2014 season. She was a backup goalkeeper to Hope Solo, a famous player.
In the 2014 season, the Reign team had an amazing start. They went 16 games without losing. This was a league record at the time. They won 13 games and tied 3. The Reign finished first in the regular season. They won the NWSL Shield for the first time. They made it to the championship final but lost to FC Kansas City. Kopmeyer played in four games that season. She saved 17 out of 19 shots.
After the 2016 Olympics, Hope Solo took a break from the team. Kopmeyer then became the starting goalkeeper for the last nine games of the 2016 season. She played in 11 games that year. In 2017, she was expected to be the main goalkeeper for the Reign. She was named NWSL Player of the Week for making 8 saves in her first game of the 2017 season.
Playing for Canberra United and Orlando Pride
On September 15, 2017, Kopmeyer joined Canberra United in Australia. She played for them on loan during the 2017–18 W-League season.
In January 2018, Kopmeyer was traded to the Orlando Pride. This was part of a trade involving several players. She was a backup goalkeeper for Ashlyn Harris, another national team player. In February 2020, Kopmeyer left the Orlando Pride team.
