Hambden Township is in the northern part of Geauga County. It shares its borders with several other townships:

A small part of Chardon is also near Hambden Township. Chardon is the main city, or county seat, of Geauga County. The center of Hambden Township is where two important roads meet: U.S. Route 6 and State Route 608.

History of Hambden

Hambden Township was started in 1801. It was founded by a person named Dr. Solomon Bond. The township was actually named after him at first.
