Hana Mae Lee, born on September 28, 1988, is a talented American actress, model, comedian, and fashion designer. She is well-known for playing Lilly Onakuramara in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect movies, which came out between 2012 and 2017. She also played Sonya in the horror comedy film The Babysitter (2017) and its follow-up, The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020). Besides acting, Hana Mae Lee also has her own fashion brand called Hanamahn.

Hana Mae Lee's Early Life and Education
Hana Mae Lee grew up in the San Fernando Valley in California. She went to Granada Hills Charter High School. She started college when she was 16 years old. She earned a special degree in fashion design from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California.
Designing Clothes and Choosing Acting
After college, Hana Mae Lee worked as a designer for famous brands like Juicy Couture and Mossimo. She even had the chance to work for Ralph Lauren in New York. However, she decided to focus on her acting career instead.

Starting in Makeup and Modeling
When she was 15, Lee began working professionally as a makeup artist. She did makeovers at Macy's and later worked on photo shoots for magazines. By 2018, she decided to put all her energy into her acting and entertainment career.
Lee also became a professional model at age 16. She appeared in advertisements for big companies like Honda, Jeep, Apple Inc., and Nokia. Her photos were also featured in popular magazines such as TIME, Elle, and Teen Vogue.
Comedy and Fashion Design
In 2009, Hana Mae Lee started performing stand-up comedy. She is also part of a comedy group called Get Gaysian. She often included Korean folk music in her comedy shows, making her performances unique.
Lee launched her jewelry line, Hanamahn, in 2001. She later added an apparel line to Hanamahn in 2009. Some of her clothing designs were even featured in the Pitch Perfect movies. As of 2018, her brand was taking a break, but a new related fashion line was being developed.
Acting Roles in TV and Movies
Hana Mae Lee made her first TV appearance in 2011. She was a guest star on the show Mike & Molly, and then appeared on Workaholics.
Her big break came when she played Lilly Onakuramara in the musical comedy movie Pitch Perfect in 2012. For this role, she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Scene Stealer in 2013. She continued her role as Lilly in the sequels Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).
Lee also co-starred in the horror film The Babysitter in 2017. She returned as her character Sonya in the sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, which came out in 2020.
