History of Hand
A long time ago, in 1888, a post office was opened in Hand. A post office is where people send and receive letters and packages. This post office helped the people living in the area.
The post office stayed open for many years, until 1942. After that, it closed down. No one is really sure how the name "Hand" came to be. It's a bit of a mystery!
