Hannah Dominique John-Kamen (born on September 7, 1989) is an English actress. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. These include Black Mirror (from 2011 to 2016) and Killjoys (from 2015 to 2019). She also starred in Brave New World (2020). Another notable role was in the Netflix miniseries The Stranger (2020).

Hannah John-Kamen has also played the character Ava Starr / Ghost in superhero movies. She appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and Thunderbolts* (2025). Her other film roles include SAS: Red Notice (2021), Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021), and Unwelcome (2023).

Early Life and Training

Hannah John-Kamen was born in England. Her mother was a fashion model from Norway. Her father was a forensic psychologist from Nigeria. She has an older brother and an older sister.

She went to primary school in Kirk Ella. Then, she attended Hull Collegiate School for her secondary education. Hannah also trained at the National Youth Theatre in London. She moved to London when she was 18 years old. In 2012, she graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Acting Career Highlights

Hannah John-Kamen started her acting journey in 2011. She first provided voice work for the video game Dark Souls. After that, she appeared in several TV shows. These included Misfits (2011) and Whitechapel (2012). She also had roles in The Syndicate (2012) and The Hour (2012).

Stage and TV Success

From late 2012 to mid-2013, Hannah played the main role of Viva. This was in the Spice Girls-themed musical Viva Forever! The show was performed in London's West End. Critics praised Hannah John-Kamen's performance in the musical.
