Hannah Hoes Van Buren (born Hoes; March 8, 1783 – February 5, 1819) was the wife of Martin Van Buren. He later became the eighth President of the United States. Hannah passed away in 1819, before her husband became president.
Martin Van Buren never married again after Hannah's death. This made him one of the few presidents who was not married while in office.
