In 2020, about 1,565 people lived in Harbor Hills. A post office was opened here in 1927. It served the community for many years until it closed in 1943.

Harbor Hills is located in the southern part of Licking County. It sits along the northern and northeastern shores of Buckeye Lake. This area is part of Licking Township.
Neighboring Communities and Roads
To the west, Harbor Hills borders the village of Buckeye Lake. To the south, it is next to Thornport in Perry County. Major roads help define the area. Interstate 70 runs along the northern edge. Ohio State Route 13 forms the eastern border.
Two main neighborhoods are found within Harbor Hills. The original Harbor Hills neighborhood is in the western part. Edgewater Beach is located in the southeast. Both of these areas have lovely lakefront access to Buckeye Lake.
Travel Connections from Harbor Hills
From State Route 13, you can easily reach other cities. Interstate 70 goes west about 32 miles to Columbus. It also goes east about 21 miles to Zanesville. State Route 13 heads north about 8 miles to Newark. Newark is the main city and county seat of Licking County. Route 13 also leads southeast about 13 miles to Somerset.
Land and Water Features
Harbor Hills covers a total area of about 3.48 square miles (9.0 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 2.75 square miles (7.1 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.73 square miles (1.9 square kilometers), is water.
The water area is part of Buckeye Lake. This lake was created in the 1800s. It was originally built for the Ohio and Erie Canal system. Today, Buckeye Lake is mostly used for fun activities like boating and fishing.

In the year 2000, there were 1,303 people living in Harbor Hills. They lived in 575 households. About 411 of these were families. The population density was around 478 people per square mile. There were 676 housing units in total.
