History of Harbor Isle
Harbor Isle has an interesting past. In the 1950s, there was a plan for Harbor Isle to join the nearby village of Island Park. This process is called annexation, where one area becomes part of another.
However, the plan to join Island Park did not happen. Because of this, Harbor Isle has remained an unincorporated hamlet. This means it is not officially a village or a city, but rather a community within a larger town.
