The Harborwalk trail offers a wonderful journey through Punta Gorda. It's mostly made of concrete, making it smooth for walking, jogging, or cycling.

Discovering Laishley Park

As you go through Laishley Park, the path stays close to the river. You'll pass by the "Spirit of Punta Gorda" monument. This special sundial remembers when Hurricane Charley came ashore in 2004. The path then winds around the Laishley Park Marina before returning to the river's edge.

Under the Bridges

Next, the Harborwalk goes under the Barron Collier Bridge. After that, you'll see the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, which has a cool tiki bar right by the path. The trail then passes the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. Soon, you'll go under another bridge, the Gilchrist Bridge.

Reaching the End

The path continues through Gilchrist Park, a lovely green space. Finally, the Harborwalk ends at Fishermen's Village. This is a lively place with lots of shops and restaurants. From Fishermen's Village, you can connect to the Punta Gorda Linear Park. This other trail takes you back into downtown Punta Gorda through a quiet neighborhood. It follows an old railroad path, which is pretty neat!
