Where is Harker Creek?

Harker Creek starts high up in the Sheeprock Mountains. These mountains are part of the larger Wasatch Range in Utah. The creek begins its journey at about 1,900 meters (6,300 feet) above sea level.

The Journey of the Creek

• Through the Canyon: The first part of Harker Creek flows through a place called Harker Canyon. Here, the water moves from west to east, cutting its way through the southern side of the Sheeprock Mountains.
• Into the Valley: After leaving the canyon, the creek changes direction. It then flows from south to north into a wider area known as Rush Valley.
• Joining Other Waters: In Rush Valley, Harker Creek eventually joins the water system of Faust Creek. This means its water becomes part of a larger network of streams and rivers.

The spot where Harker Creek leaves Harker Canyon is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) south of the town of Vernon. The creek ends its journey in Rush Valley at about 1,762 meters (5,780 feet) above sea level.
