In 2020, about 1,930 people lived there. This was a little less than the 1,975 people counted in 2010. Harlem Heights is part of the larger Cape Coral-Fort Myers area.

Where is Harlem Heights Located?
Harlem Heights is located in the southwest part of Lee County. To its west, across Pine Ridge Road, is the Iona community. Gladiolus Drive is the main road that goes east and west through Harlem Heights.
The community is about 10 miles (16 km) south of Fort Myers. It is also about 6 miles (10 km) north of Fort Myers Beach.
