Harold Jerome Hart (born July 13, 1952) is a former American football player. He was a fast and strong running back in the National Football League (NFL). Harold played for several teams during his career. These included the Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants. He was chosen by the Raiders in the 1974 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Harold Hart grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He played high school football for the New Stanton Senior High School Blue Devils. For his first two years, he played as a quarterback. Later, he switched to playing running back.
Amazing Senior Year
In his senior year, 1969, Harold had an amazing season. He ran for 1,900 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. His great performance earned him first-team All-State honors. He also got to play in the special North-South All-Star game.
College Football Career
Harold Hart continued his football journey at Texas Southern University. He was a starter for the Texas Southern Tigers for all four years. During his college career, he rushed for over 2,000 yards. This showed he was a very talented player.
Professional Football Career
After college, Harold Hart hoped to play in the NFL. He was chosen in the 1974 NFL draft. This is where NFL teams pick new players.
Playing for the Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders picked Harold Hart in the 1974 NFL draft. He joined the team and played in the NFL. In 1975, he had a very exciting moment. During a "Monday Night Football" game against the Miami Dolphins, he returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown. This is one of the longest kickoff returns possible in football!
Time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In 1976, Harold was chosen by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This happened during the 1976 NFL expansion draft. This special draft allows new teams to pick players from other teams. However, Harold missed the entire 1976 season because of an injury. He was released from the team before the next season started.
A Game with the New York Giants
In 1977, Harold Hart played in one game for the New York Giants.
Back with the Raiders
Harold returned to the Oakland Raiders for the 1978 season. He played in seven games for them that year.
