Bravery in World War I
On April 11, 1917, Lance-Corporal Mugford was in Monchy-le-Preux, France. There was heavy enemy fire all around. He moved his machine-gun to a very forward position. This spot was very exposed, meaning it was easy for the enemy to see him. From this dangerous place, he fought against the enemy very well.
Facing Danger
