Early Life and Education
Hassan Jameel is the middle son of Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel. His father is the chairman and president of the Abdul Latif Jameel company. Hassan's grandfather, Abdul Latif Jameel, started the company in 1945. His grandfather also got the rights to sell Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia in 1955.
Hassan went to high school in Japan. In 1997, he started studying at Sophia University in Tokyo. He finished his studies in 2001 with a degree in international economics. Later, he earned a special business degree (an MBA) from the London Business School.
Career in Business
In 2004, Hassan Jameel trained at the Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan. He learned about "kaizen," which means making things better all the time. After his training, he went back to Saudi Arabia. He started working for his family's business, Abdul Latif Jameel. This company is one of the biggest sellers of Toyota and Lexus cars in the world. Today, Hassan is a deputy president and vice chairman for the company's work in Saudi Arabia.
In 2011, Hassan Jameel met R. J. Scaringe. Scaringe was the person who started a small car company called Rivian. Hassan asked Scaringe to create an electric truck. The Abdul Latif Jameel company then put a lot of money into Rivian. They became Rivian's biggest investor. Hassan Jameel also joined Rivian's board of directors, which means he helps make important decisions for the company.

Hassan Jameel is a leader at Community Jameel. This is a group that helps people around the world. It was started in 2003. Community Jameel works on many important projects.
