How Hatton Started
The community of Hatton began in 1881. It started as a station along the Pere Marquette Railway. A post office opened in Hatton on May 18, 1882. This helped people send and receive mail.
The 1910 Fire
Sadly, the community of Hatton was destroyed by a fire in 1910. After the fire, the post office closed. Today, Hatton is a quiet part of the township.
