From there, it flows mostly south until it reaches the beautiful Otsego Lake. This creek is an important part of the local water system.

The Journey of Hayden Creek
Hayden Creek begins its flow in the northeastern part of Springfield. It starts as a small stream and heads southwest.
Passing Through Summit Lake
As Hayden Creek continues its journey, it flows directly into Summit Lake. This lake acts like a natural stop along the creek's path. After leaving Summit Lake, the creek changes direction slightly. It then flows southward, passing under a major road called U.S. Route 20.
Reaching Shipman Pond
