Hayhurst is a friendly neighborhood located in the southwest part of Portland, Oregon. It's so far west that some parts even touch Washington County! Hayhurst shares its borders with several other places. To the west, you'll find Raleigh Hills and Beaverton. To the north is Bridlemile, and to the east is Hillsdale. Finally, to the south, Hayhurst borders Maplewood and Multnomah.

Exploring Vermont Hills
Inside the Hayhurst neighborhood, you'll find a smaller community called Vermont Hills. It's a special part of Hayhurst.
Fun at Alpenrose Dairy
One of the most famous spots in Hayhurst is Alpenrose Dairy. It opened way back in 1916. This place is a community favorite! It has a special track for bicycle racing called a velodrome. There's also a baseball park where games are played. You can even visit "Dairyville," which is a copy of an old Western frontier town.
Pendleton Park: A Green Space
Pendleton Park is a wonderful green space that was created in 1955. It's a great place for kids and families. The park has a playground where you can have fun. There's also a baseball diamond for playing games. If you like gardening, you'll find the Vermont Hills Community Garden here. Look for the cool 8-foot rabbit statue named Vincent, Waiting for Alice! Pendleton Park is right next to Hayhurst Elementary School.
