Even with some challenges, she became the face of big ad campaigns. Brands like Budweiser and Sears featured her. She was also one of the first models to work with Ophelia DeVore's Grace De Marco modeling agency. Helen truly broke new ground in the fashion industry.

Helen stopped modeling in 1970. But she continued to work in fashion as a stylist. She had a short marriage to John Clayton Anderson. Later, in 1977, she married Norm Jackson. She had met Norm during her modeling days. They were married until he passed away in 2017.

Helen lived in East Riverton, New Jersey. She died on July 26, 2023, at the age of 87. She passed away from Alzheimer's disease at a care facility in nearby Moorestown.

Helen Williams is remembered for helping to remove unfair barriers in modeling. She made it easier for models of all backgrounds. In 2004, she received the Trailblazer Award. This award was given by the Fashion & Arts Xchange organization. The ceremony was held at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. This award honored her important work and influence.
