Helena Mattsson is an actress from Sweden. She was born on March 30, 1984. She is also an American citizen. Helena started acting in plays in Sweden. Later, she moved to the United States.

She has been in many movies and TV shows. Some of her well-known films include Species – The Awakening (2007), Surrogates (2009), and Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012).

Early life and acting beginnings

Helena Mattsson grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. Her younger sister, Sofia, is also an actress. Helena loved acting from a young age. She performed in plays, musicals, and concerts.

She studied acting at the Södra Latin school in Stockholm. This school helped her feel brave enough to follow her dream. Helena acted in early shows like Wild Side Story. As a teenager, she moved to London, England, to go to a theater school.

Becoming an actress in Hollywood

When Helena was 19, she moved to Hollywood. She went there to try out for a TV show. Her short visit turned into a permanent stay. She got a role in a TV pilot called Sweden, Ohio in 2004.
