Notable Events

The KDUH/CH4 TV Mast Collapse

Near Hemingford, there was a very tall TV tower called the KDUH/CH4 TV Mast. It was built in 1969. This tower helped broadcast TV signals.

In 2002, workers were making the tower stronger. They wanted it to hold new digital TV equipment. During this work, the tower fell down. This happened on September 24, 2002.

After the collapse, investigations looked into what happened. They found that the contractors did not make the tower stable enough. This was while they were replacing some of its parts. KDUH started broadcasting again a year later. They used a new tower near Angora.
