Henry Anderson (born in 1545, died in 1605) was an important English landowner and politician. He held many important jobs in his lifetime. He was elected to represent Newcastle-upon-Tyne as its Sheriff once, its Mayor three times, and a Member of Parliament (MP) four times between 1584 and 1593. He was also the Sheriff of Northumberland.

Henry Anderson was born in 1545. He was the oldest son of Bertram Anderson and Alice Carr. His mother was from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

His first wife was Isabella Morland. She was the daughter of Christopher Morland from Pittington, County Durham. Henry and Isabella had four daughters together. Isabella passed away in 1582.
Second Marriage
Henry's second wife was Fortune Collingwood. She was the daughter of Sir Cuthbert Collingwood. With Fortune, Henry had nine more children. One of their sons was Sir Henry Anderson (1582–1659), who later became a supporter of the King during the English Civil War.
