His Ministry Work
Starting Parkview Christian Center
In 1988, Pastor Babers and his wife, Ernestine, started a church in Haines City, Florida. It was first called St. James Missionary Baptist Church. After only one week, it was renamed Parkview Christian Center. In 2002, the church got its current name. The church has grown a lot and now has about 650 members. Because it was growing, the church moved to its current location in Haines City in 1992.
Helping the Community
Under Pastor Babers' leadership, the Parkview Christian Center helps people in Haines City and nearby areas. The church runs a free clinic for people who do not have health insurance or have very little. This special part of the church also gives out clothes and food to those who need help.
