Henry and Elizabeth had one child together. Their son was named David Stuart Erskine. He was born in 1815 and later became the 13th Earl of Buchan. Elizabeth passed away in 1828.

In 1833, Henry David Erskine lived in Edinburgh, Scotland. His home was at 47 Minto Street. However, his main family home was Kirkhill House. This large house is located in Broxburn, West Lothian. Henry inherited Kirkhill House from his uncle, the 11th Earl. It was a significant property for the family.
His Final Resting Place
Henry David Erskine, the 12th Earl of Buchan, passed away on 13 September 1857. He was buried in a special place. This is a standalone memorial chapel built in 1857. It is located in Broxburn, near the church of St John Cantius and St Nicholas Catholic Church.
