Henry Irwin (born January 24, 1841 – died August 5, 1922) was an important architect who worked in British India. He is best known for designing buildings in the Indo-Saracenic style. This style mixes traditional Indian and European (especially Gothic) architecture. He was also a member of the Institution of Engineers. In 1888, he received a special award called the CIE for his great work.

Henry Irwin was the oldest son of Henry Irwin, who was a church leader in Ireland. He had three younger brothers and two sisters. His brothers, like Alfred Macdonald Bulteel, also achieved success in their careers.

In 1886, Henry Irwin joined the Public Works Department (PWD) in India. The PWD was a government group responsible for building and maintaining public structures. He was a very busy architect during the late 1800s.
