Herbert Ilsanker (born on May 24, 1967) is a former professional football goalkeeper from Austria. After his playing career, he became a successful coach. Since 2005, he has been the goalkeeper coach for FC Red Bull Salzburg, a well-known football club.

Playing Career
Herbert Ilsanker started his football journey with his local club, SK Hallein. He then moved to SV Austria Salzburg. He played most of his active career there, from 1993 to 1998. During his time with Salzburg, he played 98 matches as a goalkeeper.
From 1998 until he stopped playing in 2001, he played for a German team called 1. FSV Mainz 05. At Mainz, he was teammates with Jürgen Klopp. Jürgen Klopp is now a very famous coach for Liverpool.
