Early Days and Red Bull Salzburg
Stefan Ilsanker began his football journey at 1. Halleiner SK. He started as a goalkeeper but soon moved to play in the midfield. In 2005, he joined Red Bull Salzburg. There, he played for their junior team, known as Red Bull Juniors.
On April 4, 2009, Stefan was called up to the first team for a league game. His very first match for Red Bull Salzburg's main team was a national cup game on August 15, 2009. Moving to Mattersburg and Return to Salzburg

Time at RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt
