Herzele is a town in Belgium. It is located in the East Flanders province. Herzele is part of a larger area called the Denderstreek.

Villages of Herzele
Herzele is made up of several smaller villages. These include Borsbeke, Hillegem, Ressegem, Sint-Antelinks, Sint-Lievens-Esse, Steenhuize-Wijnhuize, and Woubrechtegem. Herzele itself is also one of these villages.
Local Government
The leader of Herzele is called the mayor. The current mayor is Johan Van Tittelboom. He belongs to a political group called the Open Flemish Liberals and Democrats party. This party works with others to make decisions for the town.
Nature and Waterways
Herzele has two small rivers, or brooks, that flow through it. One is called the Molenbeek. It crosses through Borsbeke, Herzele, Ressegem, and Hillegem. The other brook is the Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek. It flows through Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Esse, Woubrechtegem, and Ressegem.
