Heshima Salim Thompson (born October 23, 1986) is a talented British actor and singer. He was born in Brent, London. His father is the famous Jamaican Reggae singer Dr Alimantado, and his brother is the soul singer Zalon.

Heshima started his career in 2001. He sang in a BBC documentary called Heart of Harlesden. From this, he was chosen to play a main role in the BBC show Babyfather.

Heshima's Acting Career

Heshima Thompson has appeared in many popular TV shows. He played roles in Spooks and Spooks: Code 9 as Jez. He also acted in Prime Suspect, Casualty, City Lights, and Judge John Deed.

Theatre Performances

On stage, Heshima has performed in plays at well-known theatres. He was in Generations at The Young Vic. He also appeared in Incomplete and Random Acts of Violence at the Royal Court Theatre. In 2009, he was nominated for a Screen Nation Award. This award was in the Young Shooting Star category, recognizing his rising talent.

Joining EastEnders: E20

In 2010, Heshima was cast as Asher Levi in the second series of EastEnders: E20. This show is a spin-off from the very popular British soap opera EastEnders.

Heshima's Music Journey

Heshima is also a skilled singer. He toured with the famous singer Amy Winehouse and his brother Zalon. This tour was for Amy Winehouse's Back to Black album. It was planned for only three months but became so successful that they toured for six years! During this time, they won five Grammy Awards.

Auditions for TV Music Shows

Heshima also tried out for popular TV music competitions. In 2009, he auditioned for the sixth series of The X Factor. He auditioned again in 2011 for the eighth series. In March 2012, he auditioned for the first series of The Voice UK. All four judges turned their chairs for him, showing they wanted him on their team. Heshima chose will.i.am as his coach and made it to the battle rounds of the competition.

Working on Amy Winehouse's Album

Heshima worked with his brother Zalon, Salaam Remi, and Mark Ronson on Amy Winehouse's album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. He helped with singing and vocal production. This album included songs like "Our Day Will Come" and "Like Smoke," which featured the rapper Nas. Lioness: Hidden Treasures became the number one album on the UK Albums Chart.

HTG Entertainment

In 2014, Heshima Thompson started his own company called HTG Entertainment. This is a British entertainment agency that helps other artists.
