About the Show

Heston Blumenthal
Chef Heston Blumenthal loved making giant versions of food for the show.

The main idea of the show was simple. Chef Heston Blumenthal wanted to make food much, much bigger. He runs famous restaurants like The Fat Duck. His goal was to amaze people with giant versions of their favorite foods.

For example, he once built a whole pub out of pies! It even had an archway made from pastry. Another time, he made an ice cream cone that could hold a whole tonne of ice cream. The show's team also did fun research. They even proved that biscuits taste better after being dipped in tea.

The TV company Betty TV made the show for Channel 4. The show's music was created by Ben Parsons. Channel 4 liked the idea because each episode tried to break a world record.
