Hettlingen is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It's located in the Winterthur district within the Zürich canton. Switzerland is divided into cantons, which are like states. Hettlingen is a part of the beautiful Zürcher Weinland region.

History of Hettlingen

Hettlingen has a long history! It was first mentioned way back in the year 886. Back then, it was known as Hetelinga.

Hettlingen covers an area of about 5.8 square kilometers. A big part of this land, about 61%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 22% of the area.
