Hi-5 (also known as Hi-5 UK) is a fun British children's television programme. It first aired on Cartoonito and CITV on 3 November 2008. The show is all about learning through music and play. It features five presenters who work together as a group called Hi-5. They perform songs and lead different learning segments.

What is Hi-5?

Hi-5 is a variety-style TV show made for younger children. Music is a super important part of the show! Five presenters, known as Hi-5, sing songs as a team. They also each host their own special learning part of the show.

How the Show Works

Each episode of Hi-5 is packed with fun and learning. The show has different segments that help kids learn new things.

  • Puzzles and Patterns: This part helps you think logically and understand math. A puppet named Jup Jup helps the presenter solve puzzles and problems.
  • Body Move: Get ready to dance! The presenter encourages everyone to move and groove. This helps you get better at coordination and physical skills.
  • Word Play: This segment is all about words and sounds. A puppet called Chatterbox helps explore language through exciting stories and rhymes.
  • Shapes in Space: Learn about shapes, colors, and everyday materials like boxes and playdough. This part helps you understand visual and spatial ideas.
  • Making Music: Explore the world of music! You'll learn about pitch, rhythm, beat, and melody. The presenters use both real and pretend instruments.

At the end of each episode, all the cast members come together for Sharing Stories. They tell a story that teaches about friendships and feelings. Every week, there's a special Song of the Week. This pop-style song matches the weekly theme and helps set the learning topic for all the episodes that week.
