Hideki Matsunaga (松永 英機, Matsunaga Hideki, born February 8, 1963) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born on February 8, 1963, in Fujieda, Shizuoka, Japan.

Playing Football: Hideki Matsunaga's Career
Hideki Matsunaga started his football journey after finishing college at Osaka University of Commerce. He played as a defender for a team called Matsushita Electric. He was with this team from 1984 to 1991.
During his time as a player, his team achieved a big success. They won the 1990 Emperor's Cup in 1990. This was a very important win because it was the first major trophy the club had ever won.
Coaching Teams: Hideki Matsunaga's Managerial Career
Hideki Matsunaga began coaching even while he was still playing football. In 1989, he became a coach for his team, Matsushita Electric (which later became Gamba Osaka). He coached there until 1994.
After that, he moved to another team, Verdy Kawasaki, in 1997. By 1999, he became the main manager for Verdy Kawasaki.
He then managed several other football clubs:
- Ventforet Kofu from 2003 to 2004
- Vissel Kobe in 2005
- Sagawa Printing in 2006
- FC Gifu from 2007 to 2009
