Hiroaki Matsuyama was born in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, on August 31, 1967. After finishing his studies at Waseda University, he started his professional football journey.
Early Days and First Club

Later Playing Years
From 1994 onwards, Matsuyama found it harder to get playing time. In June 1995, he moved to Tosu Futures, a club in the Japan Football League (JFL). He still did not play much there.
