Hode is situated along the Tug Fork river. It is also found near Kentucky Route 292. This road helps connect Hode to other nearby places. For example, it's about 2.9 miles (4.7 kilometers) north-northwest of a town called Warfield.
How Hode Got Its Name
The community of Hode got its name in 1921. That's when a post office was opened there. The name "Hode" comes from Hodeviah Hensley. He was the son of a local minister, someone who leads religious services in the area.
