Holland is a small city in Faulkner County, Arkansas, United States. In 2020, about 586 people lived there. It is part of the larger Central Arkansas area.
Holland became known for a sad event in 2002 involving 13-year-old Kacie Woody. She went missing from her home. An investigation showed she was taken by an adult man she met online. He had pretended to be a teenage boy. This tragic event led to the creation of the Kacie Woody Foundation. This foundation helps teach parents and kids about staying safe when using the internet.
Geography of Holland
Holland is located in the eastern part of Faulkner County. A low ridge called Holland Hill surrounds the city. It forms a semi-circle to the north, east, and south.
Arkansas Highway 287 runs through the city. This highway goes west about 8 miles to U.S. Route 65 at Springhill. It also goes south about 3 miles to Arkansas Highway 36. Conway, which is the main city of the county, is about 14 miles southwest of Holland.
