Holly Hobbie is a fun TV show for kids and teens. It's based on the popular Holly Hobbie characters. Aircraft Pictures, Cloudco Entertainment, and Wexworks Media made the show. It was the first time Cloudco made a live-action show from their characters!

The series first came out in November 2018 on Hulu in the United States. In Canada, it started in January 2019 on Family Channel. Because it was so popular, the show got a second season in July 2019. The second season came out on Hulu in November 2019.

Main Characters

  • Ruby Jay plays Holly Hobbie. She is a teenage singer and songwriter. Holly lives with her family in a small town called Collinsville.
  • Evan Buliung plays Robert, who is Holly's dad.
  • Erin Karpluk plays Katherine, Holly's mom.
  • Charles Vandervaart plays Robbie, Holly's older brother.
  • Kate Moyer plays Heather, Holly's younger sister.
  • Sara Botsford plays Helen, Holly's grandmother.

Friends and Others

  • Hunter Dillon plays Tyler Flaherty. He is known as the "rebel" boy in Collinsville.
  • Saara Chaudry plays Amy, one of Holly's best friends.
  • Kamaia Fairburn plays Piper, another one of Holly's best friends.

Music from the Show

The Holly Hobbie series has its own great music! On June 25, 2019, it was announced that Warner Music Group would release the show's music. The main theme song came out that very day.

A digital album with songs from the first season was released on August 30, 2019. Later, a second digital album called "What Comes Next" was released. This album featured songs from the second season and came out on November 22, 2019.

Watching in North America

In the United States, the series was first available on Hulu. In Canada, it aired on Family Channel. These two channels worked together to make the show.

In June 2020, BYUtv also started showing the series in the United States. Before that, Universal Kids had been broadcasting the show since December 2019.

Watching Around the World

The show also became popular in other countries! On June 25, 2019, the BBC bought the rights to show it in the United Kingdom. It aired on the CBBC Channel.

Later, on September 25, 2019, the show was sold to France Télévisions in France. It also went to Minimax in Central and Eastern Europe. The TVA Group bought it for Quebec, Canada. On November 6, 2020, Disney Channel started showing it in Latin America and Brazil.

The Holly Hobbie series has received many awards! It was nominated for eight Canadian Screen Awards in 2020. These awards celebrate the best in Canadian film and television.
