Disney Channel is a popular TV channel in Latin America and the Caribbean. It started broadcasting in 2000. At first, it was a special channel you had to pay extra for. In 2004, it became a basic channel that most TV packages included.
The channel is mainly for kids and teens. But many older viewers also enjoy its shows. Disney Channel is run by The Walt Disney Company. This big company owns many other famous brands.

What are Disney Channel Feeds?
Disney Channel has five different versions, called "feeds." Each feed shows programs at different times. This helps make sure shows air at the right local time. It also allows for different ads in each region.
- Mexico Feed: This version is just for Mexico.
- Central Feed: This feed covers Central America, Colombia, Venezuela, the Caribbean, and the Dominican Republic. It uses the time zone of Colombia.
- South Feed: This version is for Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. It uses Argentina's time zone.
- South Feed +1: This feed is for Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. It shows the same programs as the South feed, but one hour later. It also has local ads for these countries.
- Brazil Feed: This version is only for Brazil. It broadcasts in Portuguese. It often has a different schedule from the other feeds.
What Shows Can You Watch?
Disney Channel shows many series made by Disney. These include cartoons and live-action shows. Some popular shows are Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls.
The channel also airs shows not made by Disney. These have included Patito Feo, Casi Ángeles, and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Disney Channel also produces its own local shows. Examples are Soy Luna, Violetta, and Bia.

Disney Junior Block
This block was for younger kids, usually aged 2 to 7. It aired every morning. It featured shows from Playhouse Disney. The block was removed in 2012. But it came back in 2016 on the HD channel. Later, it aired only on the Mexican feed.
Cartoon Block
After the Disney Junior block, there was a cartoon block. It showed animated series from Disney. Shows like Phineas and Ferb and Fish Hooks were part of this block. The shows and times changed depending on your region.
Movies on Disney Channel
Disney Channel used to show many movies. The Wonderful World of Disney block aired movies from Walt Disney Pictures. This block was usually on weekdays. There was also a block for Disney Channel Original Movies. These movies premiered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
However, after October 1, 2020, movies from the Walt Disney Studios library were removed. This happened because Disney+ launched in Latin America. Now, you can watch these movies on the Disney+ streaming service.
Holiday Specials
Disney Channel celebrates holidays with special programming. The timing of summer specials changes by region. This is because summer happens at different times in Latin America. For example, in the North, summer is from June to September. In the South, it's from December to February.
For Halloween and Christmas, the channel airs themed movies and episodes. Disney Channel Latin America also has its own New Year's Eve event. It's called Celebratón. Viewers vote for their favorite shows and movies. The most popular ones are shown on December 31. The hosts of Zapping Zone used to host this event.

Disney XD
Disney XD is another pay TV channel. It started in 1996 as Fox Kids. Then it became Jetix in 2004. In 2009, it changed to Disney XD. This channel is mostly for boys aged 6 to 14. It shows action, comedy, and animated series.
Disney Junior

Zapping Zone
Zapping Zone was a special show made by Disney Channel Latin America. It aired on weekdays from 2000 to 2012. The show had hosts who played games and trivia with viewers. Viewers could call in to participate. They could win prizes like T-shirts, caps, DVDs, and video games.
The hosts also introduced new episodes of Disney Channel series. They would premiere new music videos and trailers too. Zapping Zone was a very popular part of the channel's evening schedule.
