Discovering the Museum's History

The Hollywood Wax Museum first opened its doors on February 26, 1965. On its opening day, the line of people waiting to get in stretched for half a mile! The owner, Spoony Singh, helped the museum become famous. He made friends with celebrities, writers who shared gossip, and even members of the foreign press. He also connected with many fans.

After Spoony Singh retired, his sons and grandson continued to run the museum. They have kept the Hollywood Wax Museum's legacy going strong. In June 2012, the family was honored as "Heroes of Hollywood." This award recognized their strong support for the Hollywood community.

Exploring Wax Figures and Exhibits

The wax figures and the scenes they are in change often. This means there's always something new to see! You can find replicas of famous celebrities from movies, music, and TV. Branson, Missouri Museum

The Hollywood Wax Museum Branson opened in Branson, Missouri, in 1996. It was completely updated in 2009 to make it even better. In 2011, this museum received an award. It was recognized for making a part of Highway 76 look much nicer.

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Museum

A third Hollywood Wax Museum first opened in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in 2007. However, it closed three years later. A bigger and better museum, the Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge, opened nearby. This new museum is in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and it welcomed visitors starting in May 2012.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Museum

The fourth Hollywood Wax Museum location opened in 2014. You can find it at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This means even more people can enjoy seeing their favorite stars in wax!
