Holy Cross (Degexit'an: Deloy Chet; Central Yupik: Ingirraller) is a small city located in Alaska, a large state in the United States. It's found in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. In 2020, about 176 people lived there. The city was officially formed on April 20, 1968.

Holy Cross has had different names throughout its history. It first appeared in the U.S. Census in 1880 as an Inuit village called "Askhomute." Later, in 1890, it was known as "Kozerevsky," and then "Koserefsky" in 1900 and 1910. The name "Holy Cross" was first used for the census in 1930. The city officially became a city in 1968.
In 2000, there were 227 people living in Holy Cross. Most of the people living there were Native American, making up about 96.48% of the population. About 3.52% of the people were White.
Many households in Holy Cross had children under 18 living with them. The average household had about 3 to 4 people. The median age of people in the city was 27 years old. This means half the population was younger than 27, and half was older.
Education
The Iditarod Area School District is in charge of the school in Holy Cross, which is called Holy Cross School.
