Honey Rose Varghese (born 5 September 1991) is an Indian actress. She is well-known for her roles in Malayalam films. She has also acted in movies from Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu film industries. Honey Rose started her acting journey in 2005 with the Malayalam film Boyy Friennd. She became very popular after her role in the 2012 film Trivandrum Lodge.
Early Life and Education
Honey Rose Varghese was born on 5 September 1991 in Moolamattom, a town in Kerala, India. She grew up in a Syro-Malabar Catholic family. She went to S.H.E.M High School in Moolamattom for her schooling. Later, she studied at the St. Xavier's College for Women in Aluva. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative English.
Acting Career
Honey Rose began her acting career when she was just 14 years old. Her first film was the Malayalam movie Boyy Friennd in 2005. She played the role of Manikuttan's friend in this film. In 2007, she acted in her first film outside of Malayalam, a Tamil romantic drama called Mudhal Kanave. She also made her Telugu film debut in 2008 with the movie Aalayam.
A big moment in her career came in 2012 with the film Trivandrum Lodge. Her character in this movie, Dhwani Nambiar, was very popular. For a short time, she even thought about changing her screen name to Dhwani because of the role's success. However, she later went back to using Honey Rose.
Over the years, Honey Rose has worked with many famous actors in the Malayalam film industry. She acted alongside Jayasurya in films like Hotel California and Thank You. She also shared the screen with Mammooty in Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus and Ittymaani: Made in China. She has worked with Mohanlal in movies such as Kanal and Big Brother. Other notable films include Ring Master with Dileep and Sir C. P. with Jayaram.
In 2022, Honey Rose returned to Tamil cinema after eight years with the film Pattaampoochi. She also starred in the Malayalam film Monster alongside Mohanlal, where her acting was highly praised. In 2023, she made a comeback to Telugu cinema with Veera Simha Reddy, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna.
