Hooverphonic is a music group from Belgium. They started in October 1995. At first, their music was called trip hop. But soon, their sound grew to include many styles. These include alternative rock, electronica, electropop, and rock.

The band first called themselves Hoover. They changed their name to Hooverphonic to avoid problems. This was because other groups and even a vacuum cleaner company already used the name Hoover.

Since they began, Hooverphonic has always had bassist Alex Callier and guitarist Raymond Geerts. They have had different lead singers over the years. Some well-known singers include Liesje Sadonius (1996–1997), Geike Arnaert (1997–2008, and again from 2020 to now), Noémie Wolfs (2010–2015), and Luka Cruysberghs (2018–2020).

Hooverphonic was chosen to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. This big music event was supposed to happen in Rotterdam. Their song was "Release Me". However, the contest was canceled on March 18, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with their song "The Wrong Place".

On March 21, 2024, Hooverphonic released their album called Fake Is The New .... Before the album came out, they released several songs. These included Don't Think (2023), Por Favor (2023), Then I Found You (2023), the album's title track (2024), and The Best Day Of Our Life (2024).
