House of Alpin facts for kids
The House of Alpin was a family of kings who ruled Scotland a long time ago. They were also called the Alpínid dynasty or Clann Chináeda. These kings ruled from around 843 or 848 AD, starting with Kenneth MacAlpin I. They were known as "King of the Picts." This royal family ruled until the death of Malcolm II in 1034. Some people believe the family's rule continued until Lulach died in 1058.
