Houston Acres is a small city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. It is known as a "home rule-class city." This means it has the power to manage many of its own local affairs. In 2010, about 507 people lived there. By 2020, the population was 492.
Where is Houston Acres?
Houston Acres is located in the eastern part of Jefferson County. It shares borders with Louisville to the west and Cambridge to the north. The rest of its borders are with the larger Louisville/Jefferson County area.
A road called Kentucky Route 155 (Taylorsville Road) runs along the northern edge of the city. This road goes west about 2 miles (3.2 km) to Interstate 264. It also goes east about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to Forest Hills. The center of Downtown Louisville is about 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Houston Acres.
