Transition to Theatre

After the Spanish Civil War, Huberto Pérez de la Ossa shifted his focus from writing novels to working in the theatre. He became a skilled stage director, bringing stories to life on stage.

From 1940 to 1952, he worked closely with Luis Escobar Kirkpatrick at the famous Teatro María Guerrero in Madrid. Together, they helped create many wonderful theatre productions. Huberto also had a talent for languages and translated plays from other countries into Spanish, including several works by the famous Russian writer Dostoyevsky. This allowed Spanish audiences to enjoy stories from around the world.
