A Look at History
Huete has an interesting past. During the Spanish Civil War, which was a big conflict in Spain, a small hospital in Huete helped injured people. A brave nurse named Annie Murray worked there, taking care of those who needed help.
The Jewish Community
Long ago, Huete was also home to a thriving Jewish community. Many Jewish families lived and worked there. However, they had to leave during the expulsion of the Jews from Spain, which happened a long time ago.
