The town of Hurlock got its name from a local store owner named John M. Hurlock.

Hurlock Fall Festival

The Hurlock Fall Festival is a big event that happens every year. It started in 1992 and takes place on the first Saturday of October.

The festival kicks off with a fun parade. You can see local school bands, volunteer fire companies, and cool antique cars.

Along the streets near the historic train station, you'll find many vendors. They sell arts, crafts, and delicious food.

At the train station, you can even take a special train ride. The Hurlock Express offers one-hour round trips to Federalsburg, Maryland. The town owns the train station and two old passenger cars. A locomotive from the Maryland and Delaware Railroad pulls them.
