Hurricane Ernesto is an Atlantic tropical cyclone that went across Jamaica and then cut through the Mexican Yucatán Peninsula as a hurricane. The storm later made landfall in southeastern Mexico and caused several deaths over the area. The storm was born August 1, 2012 and died August 10 over south central Mexico.
