What is Hyltebruk Known For?
Hyltebruk is famous for its large paper mill. This mill makes a lot of paper, especially for newspapers. It is one of the biggest producers of newsprint in the world.
How Hyltebruk Started
The town of Hyltebruk grew up around the paper mill. The company Hylte Bruks AB started the mill in 1907. This was a big event for the area.
To help the mill, a railway line was built in 1909. This railway connected Hyltebruk to Torup. From Torup, goods could travel on the main line between Halmstad and Nässjö.
Today, the paper mill is still very important. It employs almost 1,000 people. This makes it a major employer in the region.
