Hylte Municipality (Hylte kommun) is a special area in southwest Sweden. It's the only part of Halland County that isn't right by the coast. The main town, or "seat," of the municipality is Hyltebruk. This is where the local government offices are.
Hylte Municipality was first formed in 1952. This happened when three smaller areas in Jönköping County joined together. Later, in 1974, more areas combined, and the county borders were changed.
Geography and Towns
Hylte Municipality is located where two old Swedish regions meet. These regions are called Halland and Småland.

There are six main towns, also known as tätorter or localities, in Hylte Municipality. These are places where many people live close together.

People and Population
Hylte Municipality is home to about 10,590 people. The population includes people from many different backgrounds. Some residents were born in Sweden, while others have moved there from other countries.
Local elections are held in different areas, called electoral districts. These districts help manage voting for the local government.
