Musical Career
Early Years and First Album
In 2007, Hyro moved to Los Angeles to start his music career. He released his first mixtape, Gangsta Rock, that same year. He dedicated his second mixtape, Rock & Roll Gangsta, to the memory of Ryan Halligan, a teenager who was a victim of bullying. This showed his support for anti-bullying causes.
Hyro worked with famous producer Ross Robinson to record his first album, Birth, School, Work, Death. The album featured talented musicians from bands like At the Drive-in and The Blood Brothers. It was released in the United Kingdom in 2011 and later around the world.
Making a Name in Music
In 2012, Hyro toured the U.K. with the band The Blackout. He was also featured on their song "Higher & Higher".
That same year, he had an amazing experience at the Download Festival in England. After an impressive performance, the festival's promoter invited him to play again on a different stage. In the end, Hyro performed on three separate stages during the festival weekend. He is the only artist in the festival's history to do this in a single year.
Because of his rising fame, Hyro was nominated for "Best International Newcomer" at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards. He later toured the United States with the popular bands Hollywood Undead and All That Remains.
Recent Music and Collaborations
Hyro has continued to tour the world, performing at big events like Australia's Soundwave Festival and Japan's Summer Sonic Festival.
In 2018, he released his second album, Flagged Channel. The album's first single was called "Bullet". That same year, he performed at the famous Viper Room club with James Shaffer, the guitarist from the band Korn.
Hyro is well-known for working with other famous artists. In 2020, he released the song "We Believe" with David Draiman from the band Disturbed. In 2023, he released his third album, Bound For Glory. This album included guest artists like Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Chad Gray from Mudvayne.
In August 2024, Hyro began recording his fourth album.
